Task Number Two : list your things-to-do and set priorities. Task Number Three : take good care of yourself.
Like the Fairmont's huge mix buffet : Japanese soup, grapefruit juice, fish tidbits with small vegetables and pickles, scrambled eggs with toasts and jam, small salad with cherry tomatoes and cucumber, Ceylon tea with milk. Doesn't have to be early, it's better after a few hours of home work (like preparing this stupid page as a new web site creation exercise). By the way, will anybody read it ?
	It's quickly time to pack (computer, camera, cables, working documents, agenda, to-do-list) and ride the mountain bike upwards to the office. Today's main topic will be the new computer architecture that everybody has dreamed for a long time. I feel a little vaccinated against dreamware in computerland. So it must be a tough discussions about needs, wants, anticipations, bits, bytes, MHz, dots, ppm, weight, size, strength, behaviors, services and costs.
While we install new wires in the office, why not remap it? Since EP is quite satisfied about having every desk facing a wall, can we half-blind the windows and do the same? Pros and cons are discussed. A naked map of the office and small pieces of paper at scale to represent every piece of furniture. It will take a week of nemawashi prior to set a definitive relocation of every desk. In the meantime, we also decide to change the carpet.
	It's all Internet talk now and ET is no exception. When our visitor came from Morocco, he became enthusiast that we build his first web site, signed for it and requested that I go visit him there ASAP. Our new organization will reflect such opportunities as we have already a long list of prospective clients with similar type of service. Chiaki San has many new ideas to propose for a fast changing world.
It is definitely preparation time. Marie-Laure has not started working yet. But she smiles at the thought of her first real apartment, just for herself and that she will arrange as fits her tastes. As soon as this is over, promised, she will work hard and be successful. We know it, Marie. Just do not lose sight of your priorities and commitments. Things will accelerate quickly from now on.
	At noon time, we go shop for obento that we take together in the meeting room. Nothing to do with the pantagruelic meals of EGIS Paris cafeteria. And the jokes remain within limits. Still, this no business lunch. Better be ready for long afternoon sessions. Quite a few hot topics today.
Every person, every client, every project, accounting, administration, recruiting, marketing, finance, objectives, methodology, schedules, standards, demands, problems, solutions, opportunities, threats, strategies, technologies, resources, business models, jokes, reports, decisions, ... Meetings, meetings, meetings.
	The end of the day is not the end of meetings. Let's have one more, in front of good food and good wine. Tonite, it will be Tony Roma, famous for rich and affordable (by downtown Tokyo standards) recipes. Not so much work done there, but still no small achievement and it beams on our faces when we leave.
Before bed time, check latest news and the possible necessity for urgent messages to other parts of the world. Install that computer that you want to use early tomorrow (no! we ARE tomorrow). OK, then. A small thoughts to those you love ... UdNite !
