Apartments and your way in Aime 2000

Your apartment has a name which includes a letter for the floor (A to S) and a number for the side (from 1 to 61 when facing ski slopes, from 101 to 161 when facing the Mont Blanc). A is the lowest floor and S the highest. 1 and 101 are the most eastern apartments, 61 and 161 the most western ones.

Aime 2000 is not built on flat land. Eastern floors start lower than western ones. Western floors go higher.

Batteries of elevators serve the floors. From East to West, these elevators are named : ETOILE, FLECHE, ZENITH, CHAMOIS, ZODIAC, DIAMANT. Beware that all elevators do not serve each floor and be ready to look on the elevator door which floors it serves. In most instances, it is a good plan to arrive at level A and take the fast elevators going to level G : this level goes along the entire building and you will find the right elevator for your apartment.

In all cases, be ready to get lost on the first days, but you may ask for a map of the building from your rental company and look at conveniently placed maps at the main entrance (level A) and in the Gallery (level G).

There are many types of apartments, but mainly : STUDIO (20 to 26 sq-m, single room for 2 to 4 persons), 2-PIECES (35 to 52 sq-m, 2 rooms for 2 to 6 persons) and 3-PIECES (52 to 60 sq-m, 3 rooms for 4 to 8 persons). Most 3-PIECES enjoy a nicer view because they are mainly in the high floors and have numerous windows on 2 faces, and have a large terrace (some as big as the apartment) for sun bathing or outdoor lunches.

Prices vary greatly depending on the week of the year : French vacation weeks are top season and the most expensive. You probably want to avoid the 2 February Paris area vacation weeks, expensive AND over-crowded. January is cheap. March and April are a good compromise of sun, snow, crowd and price. STUDIOS go from 200 to500 Euros per week and 3-PIECES from 500 to 1200 Euros per week.
